ADSL Sync Issue

My ADSL line has been down since 25th dec. The ADSL sync light keeps flashing suggesting a problem that the line won't sync. I've logged a fault with telkom. I call everyday to see what the delay is and I'm told I'm in a queue waiting for a technician. Why is it taking this long to fix what is probably some software reset on their side?

Is there any other way to get this fixed faster, or is Xmas always slow like this?
 
Unfortunately Telkom is always slow like this.. plus the holidays will make it worse. It took a technician 5 workings days to come out the last time I had a problem. I'd say you're look around late next week.

Hopefully the service is your area is better and he comes earlier.. worst case is the service is worse :/ Keep calling, it helps.. and maybe ask how far the down the queue you are and what the expected turn around time is.
 
ok well there's little point me getting worked up about it. Telkom will never change.
