Telkom is currently my ISP but I want to top up my bandwidth. What other ISPs would you recommend that will give you a top up of say 1GB irrespective of your current ISP.

Oh, and price is also a factor.

I'm not close to an ENGEN or PnP.

If I want to go with Axxess should I register first ...

Sorry, I'm a total noob.

No need to register. You can just buy a prepaid voucher at any Engen or PnP, add the username/password credentials to your router, and that's all.

Alternatively, you can ask somebody you'll trust to get you a voucher, and PM the credentials to you.

But I mean on their website. I'm not close to a participating Pick n Pay.

He'll prolly say he doesn't have a CC :D :D :D

I do have a CC and Webafrica doesn't sell top ups if you have another ISP (already phoned them).

EDIT: Just phoned Axxess and they say I can do it on their website, after some hesitation from the rep.

Well here goes ...

Is webafrica having a day out in lala land?

You can buy "prepaid" bandwidth anytime from webafrica and axxess, irrespective if Telkom is your ISP.

Nice, they just lost a customer

First webafrica gives you rubbish about having another ISP and now Axxess is hesitant to show you how to buy on their website. What's wrong with these people? Are they allergic to money?

Must be, my mouth was wide open when I read his post

Hell, WA sell all accounts to anyone, everything except their all-in-one package, for that you have to cancel your whole line with Telkom and then apply with them.

Just shows you, one staff member can cost you a client in a jiffy. I also prefer Webafrica, but recently I got an invoice 3 weeks after I made payment for prepaid bandwidth, what were they thinking? I just sent proof of payment again (did it the first time too) and they said, thanks have a nice day??

I'll try Axxess next time, Pick n Pay is about 1km from me.

WA seems to have improved when it comes to crediting my account after payment, I pay by EFT and now it usually gets credited in 2 days or so which is normal, before it used to take 1 week+ for them to sort it out.

I also pay via EFT. I didn't check the client area to see if it's credited ;)

I must confess, I made a stuff up when I bought the last time and posted on their forums and it was sorted, but getting invoiced again after 3 weeks? Not cool.
