Adult Circumcision

So at 32 of age I am thinking of getting cut.
No phimosis or any other medical reasons to have it done, purely aesthetic.

I've done excessive reading on the matter, still reading a couple of personal experiences.
There seems to be 2 camps - the pro and the anti camps.

There are a few small queries I have:
Scarring
Pain
Stitches ripping

Those are the main ones.
I understand the procedure is barely noticed except for the first prick of the needle.

So share, who had it done and what are your experiences.

Merge if required.
 
What exactly do you mean by aesthetics? It's not an ornament so just stick it in and don't worry about how it looks:D

Friend of mine had it done at 35. Problem he complained about was the hard-ons in the morning. Otherwise he says it's no big deal.
 
I disagree with circumcising children because frankly circumcision is an irreversible procedure and it grants the child no benefit whatsoever.

If you are an adult though then that is an entirely separate matter. You have the right to choose for yourself what medical procedures you will undergo. You can read up on it and understand the risks involved. If you think your dick is going to look great circumcised and you really want to do it then go for it. Have fun.
 
Your foreskin is there for a reason. What it is I don't know. But there must be.
 
I was quite involved with the previous thread - here it is. I remember the one thing that stuck in my mind is just how much surface area - full of nerves - is lost in the process. Something like about equal to the size of a postcard if I recall.

If not for medical reasons I wouldn't do it. I think you're being a knob.

Evolution surely played a factor in this when we were running around with only hair covering our bodies and our cock protected by a sheathe to avoid dirt and infection.
Clothing has made this development moot.

Clearly the OP is confusing...:D

No phimosis or any medical reason to have it done ergo I can pull my foreskin back.
Since I am 32 and have a foreskin it automatically precludes me from being Jewish or any other religion that requires me to be circumcised at or shortly after birth.

Nah, dude. I know you're not the type to make rash decisions. Just make very, very, very sure of your motivations before you take the plunge.

I know you'll prolly read through that old thread now that I've dug it up. If after that you're still sure it's the way to go, all power to you and all that. ;)
 
I find a cut penis really unattractive, but that's me.

There's the whole conundrum of sensitivity and all that to consider too (it's bound to be uncomfortable for a while after surgery until it gets used to friction in your pants).

I don't know why anyone would willingly circumcise themselves, but it's your body to do with what you will. And, clearly, there's no going back.

There are folk who cut their glans in half for extra sensitivity. So, whatever :p

Just make sure you find a nice doc who'd minimise the scarring as much as possible, you don't want it to look completely mangled like some shark-ravaged leg.

Well this is not really for you. :p
I have done some reading and will be thinking of this for a while and have read some pros and cons that make sense.
The biggest anti at the moment is the scarring and the loss of sensitivity.
