Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone has dealt with Minolta or PCounter software before...

Functionally the printer is working – the issue comes in where you need to print very large PDF’s as a single print job, in excess of 1500 pages. The printer releases the job and begins printing, and at some point during the printing, the printer would stop printing, and display an error on the screen that an ‘unknown error has occurred’.

The server is a Windows Server STD 2012R2 VM with 6GB memory, 1 Gbps network.

Hi Kwagga,

PDF's can get huge when spooling, have you checked the spool size while the job is being sent down?

What driver are you using, PS would work better for PDF's. Also is this a colour document, if so check the "Let printer determine colors" option in the Advanced section of your print dialogue box.

No problem, one other thing to check is the port you're spooling to, if you're using RAW try changing over the LPR using queue name Print

In such case it could be many things. Upgrading printer memory would generally help avoiding bugs in firmware. Do you have "Print as a graphics" option? Selecting this option would off-load printer from processing pages.
