I'm thinkin of buying myself a Water Camera with housing ect. I will mainly be using it for filming and taking photos of surfing, bodyboarding and waves.
Any Recomendations for a proper camera with good quality and that is not too expensive (+-R2000).
I will use it 90% of the time to try and shoot images like this http://www.sixty40.co.za/displayphoto.php?i=14569&t=s&r=28&p=4&s=desc

Thanks

This is actually an interesting aspect of photography that I haven't really thought about getting involved in....

Wonder what the normal P&S aspects of this camera are like.... could kill 2 birds with 1 stone with this.

Just don't get one of these enclosures from HiFi Corp.
They were full of water in a 10cm fishtank.

Nah... if I do something like this, it'll be a water proof camera that is built by the manufacturer, rather than a housing that gets put around a camera

Sanyo Xacti CA8 would be another option to look into perhaps.
Pretty mixed reviews tho.

I think this is a good camera, except that 1,5m water might not do. A big wave can put alot of pressure on the camera even if its not that deep.

Any other cameras you can recommend???

Olympus make the best damm waterproof cameras, I have the u790 and it works like a dream....
