Advice needed: Internet stability above all else.

my next question is how much money do these people pay, if its a lot,
then move to someplace with Fibre, the cost of the move should cover the upgrades

if not, well, sadly, you get what you pay for,
our wireless internet is constrained and unreliable, that cant be relied on to do a job remotely.

Please post a pic of your sister so we can better assess why the internet treats her so bad

What your mtn fixed lte speeds?

I use mtn fixed lte as a backup when adsl goes down due to load shedding, its really fast easily 60 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. Mtn only allow fixed lte on towers and router that support lte-a, so the speeds is pretty good in most areas.

I would suggest upgrading line 20 Mbps vdsl for 5 Mbps upload or just use mtn fixed lte if you need the upload.

We miss Fibre by about 1km, and OpenServe is not buying further trenching rights. This would have been solution #1.

Do you have line of sight?

If so speak to the neighbors and offer to pay half of the Fiber Bill then get some Unifi NanoStation wifi devices and connect the two homes :)

Edit: Changed recomendation to NanoStations
