hi all

ok am thinking of buying my buddies 2nd hand laptop. specs are good for the price. the only prob is that there is a super thin line going across the screen (hardly noticeable)

what i want to know is will this become a problem in the future (will the line become wider etc)?

this happened to my pc lcd but went away 3 days later not that it will vanish on this laptop

that line would make me worry...

You can pay R1k + to have laptop LCD repaired/replaced. Depends on the model/make.

I'd not take that one!

If you think the line could bother you, then either not take it or be prepared to pay Approx R1000 in the future to replace the LCD.

i have experienced this before, it didnt bother me. you can still see behind the line its just that it is abit faded. id say 95% of the screen is perfect

... so that line takes 5 percent of the screen...

maybe before you knew about the line it would of been fine but i bet you're going to stare at it and its going to bother you... a LOT... and if not now then in the future.

press the back of the laptop screen hard and see if it affects the line, that might fix the prob cos thats what i did with someones toshiba. i dont think it would be that difficult to find a replacement screen.
