ADVICE ON 3D PRINTER PLEASE

I am looking for advice on buying a 3D printer for a beginner. Since it is a gift and something to start off with, a good price too. Any advice, links to where I can buy online etc will be greatly appreciated.

Whilst searching Google I came across a few sites which use 3D printing for an income. They print your designs etc. Quite niftly for hard to find or custom objects

We use them as part of a design service. As a business on it's own (just 3d printing), I don't think it's viable - especially if it's just a few cheap printers churning out figurines and crap.
