Advice on a Scirocco?

The 1.4 is 118kw?
It's not that bad.
If you like it, buy it.
If a boy racer and intend on adding modifying bits, go for the 2.0.

yeahs it not bad for a 1.4

my cousin has a chipped 2.0 now that is scary

the scirocco sunroof is not a sunroof :p its just a pop up window3

and also is new is 318 ....yeah bring it to below 300

That's why I said it isn't a demo. Seriously investigate properly before paying top dollar for a secondhand vehicle and then finding out it's defective in some way.
Nice car though and good luck.

Thanks for the advice, will find out more and update.

Really like the styling of the car more than the power. I am a young man but over the boy-racer thing...

LOL saw that on youtube, makes one wonder why it's a R10k extra for an extra window on the ceiling.

I'll look around, don't need a car but it's a BIG want currently and this jumped out at me. Will do a bit more research and see whats what but the thing I'm worried about is that buying 2nd hand, in a car like this, the driver would have driven it too hell and back.

Why cant you buy Golf GTI?

I can't for the life of me think why you'd buy a 1.4 for R320K instead of looking for a 2012 2.0T for that price which you can find if you shop around, which would still have 2 years warranty left and 4 years service plan. You can extend the warranty for a few grand.

I drive the 2.0T scirocco and it is DEFINITELY worth it. It's an amazing drive. It has better resale value than the 1.4 as well.

I agree with you. I also advise him to look for a 2.0T instead. If it was a Golf then 1.4 is fine but a Scirocco looks like a beast and it should have more power, same with the Toyota 86 and the A250 their looks need to be powered accordingly.

And these machines can handle to be driven hard believe me.

That 1.4 engine is quick. Unless you want to "dice", I'd go with it. When you feel like taking it easy the 1.4 is light on fuel as well.

Well I often drive my other girlfriend's A3 1.8T 118KW and it is impressive but I just think for the looks a Scirocco need more power. But I am sure he wont regret it.
