Advice on B593 and antennas

Hi

Just want to get some advice i have a B593 lte router and i have bad signal quality where i live but i am covered by all the networks so not on the edge of any of their coverage range so if i buy 2 of these antennas will it help with signal quality? And do i have to buy 2 because the router have 2 connectors for antennas?

Perhhaps some user with two antennas will share their experiennce.
No, second antenna is optional.

The A-XPOL-0002 is probably your best bet. All these antennas have two cables, so you must use both. Definitely not optional.

Do you say that MIMO device can only work in MIMO mode?
Wrong, as standard specify for Category 2 to 8 (MIMO) devices the maximum number of DL MIMO layers. Read word 'maximum', it should give a clue.

Late reply - never saw this thread.

Which B593 is this? You should only buy an antenna according to its supported frequencies. The XPOL-0002 is ideal for MTN, Vodacom and Cell C LTE. The XPOL-06 is for Telkom Mobile only.

What sajunky says is correct, you don't have to use two antennas. It is optional. The best demonstration of why you would *want* to use two antennas can be seen in these videos:

Azimuth aren't there antenna now in the market that support both freq Telkom & Cell C/ MTN/ vodacom.. Might actually purchase an antenna but so far my speeds are very acceptable without using any external antenna whatsoever.
 
"Not really". I say this because the XPOL-0002 doesn't support 2300MHz but still works really well. The gain curve is not optimum but there is still some gain. So if you really want one antenna and you will be switching between all the networks, get the XPOL-0002.

Edit: tested with 2300MHz and gives zero gain; look out for the XPOL-0002-v2 which has support for 650MHz to 2700MHz.

This doesn't change the other half of the issue: you will need to have two different B593's. :(

Edit: The new B593s-601 covers all operators.

I don't know about you but screwing/unscrewing the antenna connectors breaks my fingers. I hate swapping my B593's!

I have been using Huawei B593, with a period of time, it's a signal has been very good, but then after a friend recommended to buy an original antenna, the signal better. Up to now I still get my router and antenna work with! Good luck...
