Advice on best inverter solution for my needs

To be honest , i would always recommend going to 48v systems that can take solar for later

1 the charge rate is much better ie you will always be able to get the battery full , especially if you expand the battery capacity later

2 more solar capacity, and you can run most of the house with some scheduling during load shedding if you have enough battery/panels

Many start with a small inverter/battery and then feel they should have gone bigger

Then buy bigger device down the line , or do the whole stepping stones to eventually end on 5kw/8kw system

The money is better spent just getting a 5kw from the get go imo

ie if you have gas meaning you won't rely as much on maybe an air fryer or microwave

Then for many a 3kw can do the trick for lower budget

There is some good all-in-one systems 3Kw inverter with a 5KW battery goin for around R37K. Not a bad option on a lower budget. Can even add panels later.
