If you're going by specs then the 50D betters the 5DMk2 in areas too but it's still a XXD.

Only place 50d beats 5d II is burst speed (and the pop-up flash ). 7d: AF; Exposure control; burst speed; (and of course the pop-up flash ) the rest are pretty much the same.

Unless they can properly weather seal that popup flash it is just one more reason why it belongs in the prosumer category.

Still not seeing any reason why the 7D shouldnt have been the 60D.

Anyway - to each their own. We can continue this elsewhere if you like but Rouxenator had a point - this thread is about affordability.

They can if they want to. Pentax has been doing just that for years.
