Advice on chasis tag after panel beating

So now you are driving around with no chassis number on your vehicle ?

Ok i just got a call from my insurance and they contacted toyota and some other people and apparently the car has multiple stamps all over for its chassis and engine numbers so this one stamp is not a problem and its ok to reweld this stamp anywhere :erm:

and yes im driving around with no stamp lol hence why im trying to figure out what to do. Guess I shall get it welded back on soon

That's fine as long as the actual chassis has a stamp on it, my issue was the chassis number did not match with one of those other stamps anywhere else on my car, that's as far as i got at the pound. So somewhere else on your chassis there is another stamp ?

I looked at the law you kindly linked its way above my head. I will speak to my lawyer to dumb this down for me lol
