Advice on getting Blackberry Bold 9700

Anyone here have Blackberry bold 9700?

Looking at getting a new phone and I currently have the curve 8520 and it is slow and kinda outdated.

What kind of internet speeds can you get with the 9700?

Not looking for the top of the line R6000 phone but the 9700 seems around R3500.

Any advice on BB phones?

Great phone. Don't pay more than 2k for it.
I had an offer for a 9780 for 2,5k which I turned down.

Imo its better if you go for one of the newer models such as the 9360. Which is higher specced than the 9700.

With all the complaints about BIS these days i honestly would not expect much out of its internet speeds, users have reported insanely slow speeds, 1 user waited 7min for a 24k webpage to open just to test exactly how slow it has become.

I find "free" slow internet better than paying so that's not the problem, and I use bbm lots and an android phone isn't in the budget (internet data) yet..

Dunno If I prefer the bold keypad to the curve, but the 9360 looks nice, anywhere in Johannesburg I can see a demo phone?

Any other BB phone choices?

I've had the 9700 and upgraded to the 9780. the internet is pathetic and the only good i get out of it is instant email. still prefer my nokia e71
