I know this one might spin out of control easily so please try and keep to the advice side...
Had a situation this morning that made me ponder a bit on how far one should go to assist the law.
Scenario: Double lane, construction vehicle busy on road in left lane. Just before cv is a small road block and officer was busy pulling of taxi.
I'm slowly passing in the righthand lane.
The taxi started moving into the "cone" area and then quickly jumped out of it nearly driving over the officer and pusshed in right behind me. Saw in my rear view mirror youngster behind wheel, lauging and certainly is still a teenager.
The lane left, is blocked by cv and me, with bakkie, in right.
Question:
Do I stand still and block the flow for the officer to catch up or get out of the way?
- He might have a gun
- He might mark my bakkie by the plates for later
