advice please

i'm due 4a new contract soon but have no ideas. I'm currently on a virgin topup r200 nokia c5 package - times were tuff back then. But surprisingly (in a very good way) i had zero problems with network provider, billing or the phone itself. So i've been happy 4 the past 2 years cellular wise. I use old faithful mainly for browsing on opera for hours on end, email, facebook and phone calls. I always have airtime rollover and the free smses from virgin saved alot as well. But lets be honest, virgin has sum crappy phone deals lately, but maybe i could be wrong. I'm torn between vodacom & cell c, the former has confusing contracts.

I would want 2 ideally have a capped/top up contract. Like i said, i love browsing online for ages so it would have to include a data pack.

Please advise me, keeping in mind:
1. Budget - topup 200 - 400
2. Data usage, opera mini compatibility (gotta save money)
3. Are blackberrys overrated? M a diehard nokia or samsung galaxy fan.
4. Which network?

Unless you want bbm or bis, get an Android for apps to do just about anything.

For R300-400 you could get an S2 I'm not sure if you can get an S3.

thanks 4 ur kwik n str8 4wd rep. As it stands the only reason 4 me 2 consider BB is 4 bbm with fam n friends. I've managed pretty well without it & i have no interest going back 2 the stone ages (bb lag times) just 4 bbming. The bold 9900 on cell c str8up r449 has caught my eye. Stretching the budget a smidge but there don't seem 2b hidden costs. The hubby has an S2 & m frankly green with envy...

Tbh I don't think you would get an S2 on top without a pay in, but I found the browsing experience on a BB is crap, android is your best bet and you can't go wrong, just so you are aware,android phones are data hungry as with ios, when I had my ipad I enjoyed it more browsing on the ipad than what I did on the pc, but only browsing.

The virgin mobile site has no information but according to the cellc website you could get an S3 if you build your own contract, I built you the R100 one and total cost came in at R429pm which is great if you can get an S3.

A tad more if you choose the top up option. However, 100 MB data is quite low for the G3..

I'm sure VG008 is referring to the Galaxy series, hence the 'G'. But yes. The Samsungs seem to be running first and second with the Bold an undecided 3rd place. You guys have all been really helpful with this.
