Advise needed, recommendations on gaming controller

Mostly for Mobile/Phone but also for PC from time to time.
Playing CODM at the moment but also racing games and some football ect.
This will mainly be for the kids and hmmm..... me
Don't want to cheap but also don't want to go overboard.
Was thinking of getting a PS4 as someone suggested but the last console remote I had touched was a Xbox 360's

Any advise/recommendations would be appreciated.

Well more or less R1000
What I have learned with remotes before is, "cheap" will give you "cheap gameplay"

I love my PS5 controllers, except for my thumbsticks (the rubber) which are starting to wear prematurely - I've just replaced some on my one controller as the rubber came off completely, only R45 bucks to fix though.

PS5 feels better in hand but have shorter battery life than PS4.
Xbox controllers also work but right now PS5 ones are the cheapest esp on Koodoo BF Special.

Personally I use 8Bitdo Pro 2 for PC & phone because they don't have stick drift and if they ever do get you can edit the dead zone on the app. New 8Bitdo's Ultimate have Hall Effect sticks so wont suffer that fate. Sadly not in SA yet so gonna cost extra to bring in.

Definitely depends on how much the rumble motors are being used, that can drain the battery a lot quicker.

Only bought it because I have both Xbox and PS5 and did not want 100's of docks lying around.

and reading halfway through what someone asked on reddit.

Have anyone here tried playing CODM on a controller?
Is it worth it?
I can try and borrow one and test it out.
I know playing the racing games and football will be worth it but just wondering about CODM

What I like about the Xbox controls is the D-pad at the bottom left.
Just find it easier or maybe because I am used to the 360's controls? dunno

What I know is the 360 needed a dongle for pc.
