HI,
I am looking to spend 10k on a new pc.
What would the best configuration and price wise be and where shold I buy it from, I dont need a screen all I am talking about is the box.
I would be using autocad on it as well as the odd game and office software.

Help would be apreciated

What version of AutoCAD are you using at the moment? new PC = new OS being windows 7, there may be a conflict there.

Lots and lots of memory, and a good gfx card. Especially if you want to render viz. In which case a good multicore cpu would also be helpful.
But most important is lots of fast memory.

Yes I will be loading civil 3d on it and run windows 7.
Any recomendations of gxf card/motherboard/cpu combination that would be best?

Start with the motherboard and work up from that base, at that budget you can go
for Intel core i7, DDR3 and at least a 1TB HD, whatever's left spend on the VGA, keep in mind that a good card is better than 2 bad ones in SLI, your PSU spec is determined by what card you put in.

You will have to go 64Bit on Windows 7 to address large amounts of RAM.
