Hi everyone, I need some advise please...

RENTAL HOUSING ACT, 1999
(ACT NO. 50 OF 1999)
UNFAIR PRACTICES REGULATIONS, 2001

Section 7.1.j of the regulations refer:

provide and maintain appropriate container and places
for the removal of ashes, garbage, rubbish, and other
waste incidental to the dwelling and arrange for its
removal;

What exactly does this mean?

I have been living in this rental house for almost 3 years and there are many (palm type) trees that naturally loose there palms and a lot of other trees and bushes that need regular trimming and maintenance on the property.

Does this mean that the owner needs to supply some form of removal for this type of garden refuse on his own expense or must I get rid of this myself on my own expense?

Thanks

That clause sounds like the owner must provide a dustbin basically. Unless your contract states that the owner is responsible for garden services then it's on your expense to keep it clean.

Also, you're looking for advice and the trees lose their palms.

Owner has to provide the space/container for the waste and arrange for it's removal. You have to well, ensure that it happens I guess.
