Hi there

Can anyone confirm that Aerosat in Port Elizabeth is now blocking all Peer-2-peer traffic 24/7 ?

Thanks D

Aerosat has been going down the drain for a while now.

I use to be their highest downloader... then after Ryan insulted me I ended my contract and opened up a group on facebook.

Look for "aerosat aka aerosuck" on facebook. Join and leave your messages there. Trust me... they do look at it... It even made them phone me and apologise...

After they limited Rapidshare during the day I decided to create that group...

Good Luck!

Hi

We'll they blocked everything now - you can get it going on https with your-freedom if you want to fork out R50 for 256 k.

I'm cancelling anyhow - cannot believe how a company like this went from HERO to ZERO in 2 months.

Have you been able to find a solution which does not involve telkom?

Hi,

I am Aerocrap free for 5 days now and loving it!!

I was with this company for more than a year on their 192k package (The 512k burst name is just a marketing tool). It was working pretty well in the beginning, but the last 3 months their service and product has gone down the drain.
I could not use p2p, skype, irc, news servers, ftp, play online games and certain http sites were also blocked.
Lately I battled to get onto Standard Bank or FNB’s site, constant timeouts. All the technical support can tell you are that they are working on it and that they will phone you back, which never happens.

I know of 5 people that have cancelled their contracts with them recently.

I have now gone to OpenWeb’s VPN ADSL and the service / product cannot be compared to Aerocrap, it is FAR better.

Stay clear away from Aerocrap, it will leave a R1500 non-refundable installation hole in your pocket with an unusable product and non-existing service.

Rgrds,
P

Well, your R1500 might have not been for nothing. Use that wifi equipment to join PEWUG (http://www.pewug.za.net/) then you will need less internet bandwidth as well!

Unfortunately Aerosat keeps the radio equipment!

I found the pewifi site a couple of weeks ago and I’m very interested in joining the pewug. I've already got pricing from Digital dynamics for new equipment. I'm going to try and get it all up and running this holiday.

I dont think they do internet? Just a private network.... but ANYTHING has to be better than Aerosat. Joke is: they used to be awesome 3 months ago !
