Can someone point me to a cheapish local host?
I'm looking to host about 5 domains. Need about 5GB space and 10-15GB bandwidth.
I can't find that for less than R100.
I would really love to support local hosts but it's hard when I can find double what I want for $5-$10 internationally

If he's looking to host 5 domains, there's a decent chance Mweb's R29/m package may not be sufficient for his needs. It only offers one 50mb e-mail account and doesn't come with some standard features like "1-click install apps", which is available on their R49/m package. Even then, you only get five 50mb e-mail accounts (50mb is really quite limiting) and they only allow you to host 1 website.

Refer to the link in my signature :)

No offence, but what you are offering for his needsis still R99 per month. It seems as if he is looking for a cheap option. Hence, $5 to $10.

And according to the Mweb site it says (Option to purchase additional domains)

None taken ;) He said he couldn't find anything locally "for less than R100". I showed him one option :)
Most web hosts allow you to purchase additional/unlimited domains, but with that R29/m option, they'll have to sit as parked domains, rather than addon domains, as you're only allowed 1 website. That's all I was pointing out.

Thanks for the replies guys, Smartweb looks really great.

Anybody familiar with Elitehost?
They offer "unlimited" disk space and bandwidth, with 3 hosted domains for R60.00 - doesn't seem too bad.

Even though I was looking to host 5 sites, 3 would make a lot more sense (don't think I will have enough time to run so many different sites)
