Affordable projectors

Trusted brands for me will be Optoma and Epson due to local support and 2 year warranty, also lamp life is greatly improved on the Optoma range so I am told.

BenQ, Vivitek, JVC, Sony and Panasonic local support maybe lacking and you definitely don't get the bang for buck you do on Optoma. That said I am sure there are some trusted dealers out there backing their product.

Think I can get something with minimum the specs noted for the BenQ in around that price range?

Do you have any model numbers for 1080p projectors?

This will greatly depend on your budget. Off hand the Optoma HD50 (R19500) is a great little entry level machine with the Epson TW-9200 (R40000) another great performer.

At the entry level the BenQ W1070 (R16500) tested by my dealer is a decent contender.

So what did you go for @Pitbull?

I am looking for a decent 1080p projector that doesn't break the bank, it will be used for movies.
