Afrigreen accounts cancelled suddenly without warning

Have any other users who have been using afrigreen username on their adsl have their accounts cancelled and adsl routers become non functional in the last 24 hours.
I received no warning this was going to happen and specifically asked this question to their support about a month ago when I upgraded my account as I needed to know that my afrigreen account would still work as have several remote adsl routers still using this username and password. I was told that the afrigreen account linked to my capped adsl account would keep running until I cancel the afrihost account
Amazingly poor service as I now have 5 non functional VERY REMOTE adsl routers that need to have adsl logon details changed to get the security cameras working again.
Thanks afrihost for extremely poor customer care. I have been with afrihost since inception and have always advertised them to colleagues and friends.
 
Hmmm ... Just tested, my Afrigreen account still active. Posting this on it now.

Is it still in your ClientZone?

Mine is still listed.
 
Thanks that is interesting. Mine is gone from my client zone account they say they cancelled all afrigreen accounts on they think about 18 sept. My linked afrihost.co.za account is still running.

Yes is amazingly terrible customer care. They say they will not be able to switch it back on again. I must just sign up for another account!!!. I do not think they understand how difficult it is to get to all these routers re configured in different parts of the country and thus get the security cameras working again. 20 minutes notification would have been a nice gesture.

Welcome to AfriFail... I feel sorry for you though... but the company is sinking like a stone in a puddle so notice, especially notice of this nature, is like wishing Trump got a better hairstyle.
 
Finally.... so annoying to start a month with "50% remaining" due to the way they show the Afrigreen accounts.

True... a notice to clients would have been nice... you know, like an email about this, something existing clients need to actually know about, rather than just another promotional spammail or one of Gian's communiques...

Mine is still there.
I requested dumping it long ago, too confusing.
 
Mine's still there, and just tested it - I get exactly the same routing, speed, backbone etc etc.
Last I queried this with Afrihost support it just became an alias.

So the already "free" account was cancelled, doesn't sound like a big deal. You shouldn't really be using an account in production that was meant for testing...
 
Hey guys,

The Afrigreen accounts were essentially test accounts set up when we launched our new network in 2015. They are not intended to be used on a daily basis and we have been slowly removing these as soon as they become inactive. I would not advise using your Afrigreen account to connect as that is not its purpose. If you do wish for yours to be removed immediately, you can drop me a PM with your account details and I will assist. :) Your linked Afrihost account will not be affected by the removal of the Afrigreen account :thumbsup:
