I recently signed up and subsequently cancelled my 5G package I took their largest package in the hopes speed and caps would not be a concern.

However something worse has occurred there is an insane amount of packet loss I get almost precisely as it hits peak hours like 5pm which makes the product useless for me as I have a job and work 9 to 5 only to get home to a connection that is functionally not useful.

Before I get asked, I have 2 5g routers an older model from Huawei and the newer TpLink one that comes from Afrihost I own external antennas and get -83dbm power -11 on quality and 19 on SINR. I have tried wired and non wired it has no bearing on the result not does signal strength or router.

The packet loss is between the regions of 15-20% and gets progressively worse the closer to 8pm it gets. It means doing simple tasks like streaming in content or sending a whatsapp becomes very frustrating Ive seen another post in the forums within the last month that complains of the same exact thing.

If you try use it in a morning or early afternoon with same signal values I get zero packet loss and exceptional speeds but all of that is irrelevant when the main use case for most is not usable.

We acknowledge your request and will take it up with the relevant department.

Are you vaccinated? I heard that might interfere with 5G

Hi.
Please drop me a PM with your email address.

Also had the same problem on airmobile. There shouldn't really ever be packet loss on LTE/5g because lost packets are always retransmitted.

I have to ssh and remote desktop to servers overseas and the packet loss made it pretty useless for getting any work done
