It would seem that AH shape whatever data you carried over.
I have a 100 gig capped account and for the last few months this has become 200 gigs (carried over), but only the first 50 gigs are unshaped while the rest is shaped (and boy is it shaped) regardless whether the carried over amount came from unshaped, shaped or even top-up gigs.
AH, what has happened to you guys, you give the terabyte down loaders all the perks and us guys who try and stay respectful (for a better word) get punished ?
I'm not complaining as a want to leave but what can I do to get my old account back where I was permanently unshaped ?
I do a fair deal of torrents simply because where I stay we have more mains failures than anywhere else in the country and my PC is set in the BIOS to restart when the mains comes back and resume my torrents.
These days I'm lucky if I see 50 Kb/s where 3 months ago and the years before that it never went below 400 Kb/s.

As soon as i read shaped capped i canceled. Taking my money and line else ware. Thanks afrihost but no thanks!

We don't have the ability to shape specific data sets. We can only apply a policy to a user. So therefore, any data you use is subject to the same policy. So you are an Unshaped Capped user, all your data will always be Unshaped.

Are you making the assessment that you are being shaped solely on torrent speeds or on other tests? I have a Shaped Capped account at home, and I have to say my torrent speeds are still pretty good.

Downloaded Raspbian yesterday at 490kbps. This was at 7pm though. I really feel the shaping around 9-12pm.

I must say I do not watch the speed to much but the quantity.
I do all the downloads over night as I need my PC during the day so I start downloads at around 9pm and my Wise Auto Shutown switches the PC off at 07:00.
Before I used to download around 8 to 10 gigs during that time and now I'm lucky if I get 2 gigs and some of the stuff is often pretty popular.
As long as you guarantee me it's not you guys then I can look else where to see where the problem lies.

..and start looking elsewhere, they guarantee a lot and then a day or 2 days, sometimes a week, months later they admit they were wrong.
