Hey Guys

Please check your account when moving a adsl line from one ISP to Afriihost.

Afrihost bills you from the time you sign up even though the line has not been
migrated to them and the other ISP also bills you as well.

You will find that somewhere in the middle Telkom will also bill you for a few days as well.

What a rip off.

Thanks
DD

You do get a double bill but it eventually gets credited.

+1 on TEXTILE GUY

This is just bad systems in place. Why should you be double billed and then credited ?
It's normally a pro rata fee, whereby you pay at the time of activation and one month in advance. At least it works like that in cellphone area. Eg if you activated on the 15th you pay for a couple of weeks use, then on the same invoice the New month Bill. So your bill runs from the 15th to 31st then a full month from the 1st. I can't remember if I was a debit and then credit situation. Would be strange to run like that, unless the invoice just reflects a fictitious credit or debit.

Also to the OP, you have to Check when your bill cycle starts with each isp. It could just be that the one cycle might be overlapping the other one, meaning that your invoice has already been generated

I've never had a billing issue with Afrihost, apart from maybe getting confused with certain things, but never a mistake being made

Hi!

We'll only start billing you for your DSL once the line migration to Afrihost has been completed, and then it will be a pro-rata charge only for the remainder of the month.

Telkom bills Clients in arrears, you will receive an invoice from Telkom but it should only be for the period in the month during which your DSL was still with Telkom.

The only products that you will be billed immediately for will be the ADSL data account, as that becomes active immediately once you have signed-up.
