So, a few months a go I queried with AfriJoke as to where all my data was going.
"We cannot give you an exact time as to when the data is being used, just that it was used during a "session"", they said.
Firstly, that doesn't help me - did I use all the data when I logged on at 05:00, or did the Mrs use all the data when she logged on at 08:00, whilst I was away? This information would be helpful...

I left it as they refused to help me.

Then yesterday there was a problem - the "ClientZone" said that I have 4 GBs of my cap left, but I couldn't connect

They will forward my query to the dev team (the same one that I am waiting for feedback from for over a year on another query - the currently unavailable section has been like that for over a year)

After the call, the connection seemed okay, but when I went in this morning - 1 GB left!

I looked at their "reports" and it shows that I have used roughly 1.2GBs

4GBs - 1.2GBs <> 1GB!

For real, where has my data gone now?

Background updates , backups and social media murder a data bundle . Don’t you have any other method of monitoring your usage ?

Nope, the point is that should show here on their logs, and it doesn't

I suppose I could use a data monitoring app again but then again, when I did that the last time Afrihost still showed the data being used a lot quicker than all the apps (they all showed around the same usage, but Afrihost showed a lot more)

Hi Craig

I am sure we can resolve this pretty quickly. For Fixed LTE, we report data usage as we received it from the upstream provider, so we may need to log a query with them.

I got your PM, please check my reply.

Let's get this squared away for you.

Thanks AfriMan. I appreciate it. I just wish everyone at Afrihost had an attitude of at least trying to help and not just fobbing me off :)

I honestly believe most of the guys really do their best. But everyone has an off day, I guess :(

Just glad I can help :)
