Hi Guys,

Does anyone know when does Afrihost Bandwidth Reset? I know @lantic is the 21st and OpenWeb is the 1st.

Thanks

Most ISPs reset at 00:00 on the 1st, so it's odd that @lantic doesn't.

Thanks guys, just want to make sure of it.

I know, but @lantic is always little bit dodgy. lol

I really don't understand this, maybe I am misunderstanding something so don't kill me :D.

I have a 4mbps Uncapped Account @ Afrihost and July I really pushed the limit of the account and then it got shaped(normal).
Now it is the 1st of August and I ran a Speedtest with a download speed of 0.11mbps. So how can this be? Should the shaping reset each month? How can this be possible?

I already reset my Router/Modem so all my sessions can reset for this month, but still no improvements.

Please help

On uncapped your current speed is based onto what you have been doing the previous 10 days compared to the average user on the IS 4mb uncapped. So if you downloaded more that the average user the last 10 days your service will be shaped for the next 10 days.

The figures they use for this calculation is a state secret at IS.
