But you could have tested a Telkom guest account or free capped account for another ISP. Why did Telkom need to come around?

+1

Especially since AH has been having issues for a while now. Why would you think your line?

Line is with AH. AH claimed the problem is Telkom. AH sent Telkom round .....

The issue here is that I bitch to AH, do a million and one tests, test using other ISPs and then get told its Telkom - quite frankly I am sick of it.
I dont care if its Telkom or AH.

My line with AH and they need to to sort it.

I dont care if its right or wrong to leave the line with the ISP ... The fact is, it is with the ISP, they sent Telkom round and Telkom are now pointing the finger back at the ISP.

Well I did ... AH asked Telkom to come around ....

My line is also with AH. It's cheaper and you get cool features in the Clientzone, so it makes perfect sense if you're an AH customer.

If AH insisted on Telkom coming over then I guess it's unfair to blame you for wasting their time. I can't believe AH would do something so stupid if tests conducted on other accounts proved your line wasn't faulty.

So, I had the most interesting afternoon.

Telkom pitched up at the house.

On the Telkom account 3.5Mbps, 34ms ping

Change to AH - down to 1,8 Mbps 72ms ping

Dude ran line tests - showed me the line is good.

Then we did the Telkom vs AH thing again ....

His advice - Talk to your ISP.....

Thought you said you had similar packet loss results with your WA account.

They have no problems on their network remember ;)

Apparently exchange issue.

Telkom guy reckons that they are not doing too much on the local exchanges and lines - rather waiting for fibre upgrades and the like - apparently Feb next year for our area. I think you saw the two different results I got a few hours apart, but the speed was still poor on the AH account.

It seems all is running better here, P2P fluctuates quite a bit but everything seems to be getting better.

Things have been perfect today. Speed testing 100%, and downloads of any description also going 100%.

Credit where it is due.
This is how things should be.
Streaming works, latency is good. This is what I am paying for!

Lets hope it stays like this :)

Its Sunday

Internet running like a train on my side considering a really bad Saturday

Any chance we can keep it this way forever??

Please .....

Slow and all over the place. And not exchange related.
