Afribot if you want to piss me off you should hire bottom scrape support like Emmanuel.
Here is the ticket I want this followed up. You are really starting to irritate me now.

Look i understand u dont exactly like AH atm, but name and shame guys now seriously...Get off ur high horse. U constant Greek tragedy is really getting old...
We happy u have proof that they have said so many different stories and *insert next Shakespeare play*
I understand ur plight atm, i really do. To the point that Im leaving AH end of this month, but enough of the bleating. Cut ur losses and more on bud, for the sake of ur health and others within throwing distance ;-)
4 weeks now, I admire you if you would just lay back and let it play out and be pushed over by corporate shyte. Unfortunately I clearly do not have the Sentient being ascendance you have possession over.
( bare in mind prior to AH on this very line I ran 15Mbps - 20Mbps then moved to AH asked them to up me to 40Mbps VDSL then that emanual boy tells me he did tests and is afraid my line only support 4Mbps... He's telling me that while I was running 15Mbps.)
Then after that they said they are on it and will have it done the following day. Then they tell me.. arg...listen you can read through all the responses the Afribots gave me in this thread alone.
4 weeks this is the status.

Look like i said, I empathize with ur frustration. But unless u gonna go put a billboard up like that Cell C guy, move on. Clearly AH is goin through that weird phase of great success and now they to big for their belt buckle. Recognize u riding a dead horse and dismount. My point in all of this is its not worth the frustration u clearly receiving. And this is part of the reason why i will never let a 3rd party manage my line.
Want to get rid of all these issues, do this. Find a local Telkom techie, get either his number or the number of the manager of ur local exchange. Then u have the privilege of dealing directly with ur local exchange. This has worked so well for me in the past that i even got them to approve new cable to be laid down and additional ports. Seriously let ISPs be just that ISPs and find a local techie. I can promise u, u wont believe what a 6 pack of beer can get you and the appreciation.

Have you PM'd TelkomZA? Relying on Afrihost to sort out a problem like the one you're experiencing will almost obviously take as long as it's currently taking.
Unfortunately I have not, just because I didn't think it's fair making this TelkomZA's problem I'm not paying him. I am paying the Afribots.
But since come monday I am seriously considering moving my line etc I might drop TelkomZA a pm and ask for his advice on this.
You are technically still paying for Telkom's service..still their infrastructure that is bugging out, not Afrihost's. Moving you're line back to Telkom also takes a while and will just add more complications to your situation. Just PM TelkomZA and I'm sure they'll sort it out in a matter of minutes. (After they reply that is)
It is pointless acting like an (_*_) on this forum but I feel your frustration. Just be patient and eventually AH will get things sorted out. I have waited over a year and at last - since Friday I am once again receiving that awesome experience we used to have before the switch from IS to MTN. My 10Mbps line in Cape Town is running flawlessly at 8.5-8.9Mbps and streaming is great. Hope it lasts! BTW I have previously had dealings with Emanuel and have nothing but praise for his service despite the difficult environment he is working in.You have a point. I see what your saying my point was just a matter of principal I was told by afrihost to move over my line and they will take care.
( my line has always been with telkom )
Edit: Update, I was on the phone with a afrihost guy can't recall his name, but he was supper awesome.
My line will be fixed tomorrow as they could the se process was being performed.
Regards to Emanuel in my previous post. This afrihost guy confirmed emanual had no idea what he was talking about causing a lot of confusion.
So I will know tomorrow if everything was successful.
Fingers cross

I didn't say that I was happy particularly as I have wasted thousands of Rands paying for a service that I was not getting! Once the dust settles I will definitely be making a claim and I have kept meticulous records to back this up.Why would you be happy with a terrible experience for a year?
That's madness.
Are they paying you?
