Out of interests sake, how long has AH had the double data promotion on capped ADSL data?

The Double Data on our Capped accounts has been in affect since early 2013, specifically April 2013.

With Double ADSL data confirmed moving forward what will Afrihost Plus+ do? Will it double the doubled data or become redundant? Wanna set my benefits to kick in properly from next month.

Plus+ will not be able to Double, already Doubled Data, you can however set your Plus+ to double any Mobile Data products that you may have.

Did you receive an update?

The actual line sync was just adjusted to be 2Mbps, the guys at Telkom will try to get it back at 4Mbps as quickly as possible.

This is just the sync that was changed, your line remains on the 4Mbps profile.

Plus will also get you 2 for 1 topups, not so?

Yup!

But once again, you can choose which account gets 2-for-1 Top-ups, you are by no means obligated to use it on your Capped account.

Hi there - have lost all hope with Afrihost - I've spent the whole year posting speed tests, ping test, traceroutes etc and getting nothing but the standard response of "reset your port""check your cables""check your filter/modem""test other ISPs"

Last ditch attempt before cancelling is here - hope you're significantly more motivated and able than your fellow support staff.

Will post further info on request - have several months worth and don't want to fill pages of MyBB forums with it. (although my support tickets do make for entertaining reading)

Good luck.
60gig Capped 4Mbps linespeed

So heres results from a WebAfrica free gig account.....

Last Result:

Upload Speed: 430 kbps (53.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 23 ms

Hmmm, there is definitely not something right at all. Are you seeing these types of speeds permanently or only during certain times of day?

The testing with the WebAfrica account, how long were you connected before you ran the speed tests?

But won't Telkom's system just automatically set it back again? The same as what happened last Friday?

Is there really an empty gap between 100+100 and 300+300 10Mb/s capped bundles. I'm sure for many, the sweet spot is somewhere in between those two bundles, i.e. 150+150 or 200+200. Or is just that these are not listed on the website?

Those are the pre-defined Capped bundles, you can always create your own by bundling a line and Capped data :)

I thought as much.

Well, I already have a bundle, so I don't want to undo it. But you should fill that large gap, maybe take the 400+400 away. With 100+100, the implied ADSL rental is R359. With 300+300, the implied ADSL rental is R279. So what is it with 200+200? R319?
