Most of the Plus+ users have switched their Double Data over to their Mobile Data packages for the coming months. I wouldn't say half the features are redundant, the 2-for-1 Top-ups are still very relevant, as is the Simfy subscription.
 
I am not able to add the Double data to my 500meg mobile data I received with Afrihost+
Which means I am effectively paying R99 only for Simfy music. :(
 
I do love em! I don't youtube I download.

But usually my youtube was okey watching the odd video.

But when you have friends over and everyone waits for a 2min video while it buffers on a 40Mbps line.

Trust me your love grows thin.

Definitely not what I wanted to hear, slow Youtube is really frustrating, you don't realise how much you actually use it until it starts to be irritating to use.

We have our top guys on this, I am sure you will see improvement in the coming hours.
 
Not too much of a issue for me I barely YouTube, but must admit last night was a little embarrassing, no matter how badly I wanted to convince the guy to come over to afrihost he said no, so I said dude you like youtube let's youtube and see for yourself.

Boy did that back fire in my face...
 
So i have a question, every now and then, when playing League of Legends, my router just seems randomly lose sync. I dc from the server and then have to wait for it to resync. Funny thing is though, I can download all day, watch live streams etc and no hassles. Only seems to be when i'm actually in game.

Has anyone had similar issues?

I'd suggest that you ping (with "-t" argument) like 8.8.8.8 continueously while you're playing LoL. This way you can determine whether its just the game that couldn't handle packet loss well or whether your router actually disconnected the PPPoE/ADSL connection.

I'm still having sporadic packet loss on PPTP VPN and Quake Live, and I'm not sure how to handle it. I'd guess I'll have to send my account details so that AH can have a look into the matter, since trace routes show nothing out of the ordinary.

Youtube should be a lot better now, would you guys mind testing a bit and letting me know.

I can actually check your session logs from my side, so I will be able to see if the line itself is losing sync, as well as a number of other causes that could be resulting in your respective sessions timing out.

Ok wait, so tell me if I understand u correctly. ONLY double data is staying on the primary package, this does not include double data on Top-Up? So in other words, to keep the double data on your top-ups you need AH+?

Would you mind sending me your ADSL username quickly, and can you then open a Youtube video and keep it running, we want to monitor your connection to see exactly what is happening.

I thought I was the only one. Always when you least expect and always in the middle of a game -_-

My router loses connection and I have to wait for it to resync. Perhaps happens once or twice a week.

Are you still on your free trial period? As much as I want you to use Plus+, if you are not getting maximum value out of it, you should maybe reconsider the service.

I did receive it, my apologies for the lack of a response till now.

Our Shaping system was a bit slow in kicking in today, would you mind testing your connection again now.

+1. Got 76 ping where I used to get ~9. I'm starting to think Cape Town is actually on another planet with how often stuff gets borked down here.
