Capped or uncapped, Business or home it seems the last 48 hours at AFRIHOST completely pear shaped.
I am able to connect with my Gamco, FNB and M-Web accounts however the free 1GB Afrihost account is giving invalid username/password constantly.
I copy pasted and manually entered the credentials from my client panel at-least five times to guarantee I am not using wrong details.
Strange

Im still getting these pings. When I run a tracert all is sub 200. But weneva I play online afrihost is the only isp im getting over 350. Have to switch to my capped Telkom acc to play.
Something seems to be buggered with international today.
Pinging bbc.co.uk gives me normal pings of 180-ish, but I grabbed an ftp file and got an average of just over 200KB/s (compared to 1MB/s yesterday). I noticed news.afrihost.co.za is also maxing out at ~180KB/s today.
Local is flying as usual.
Edit to the above:
It would seem that news.afrihost.co.za is being rate-limited? Mine's maxing out at 2Mb/s, and as soon as I switch to a paid server, my speed jumps to 800KB/s.
We aren't seeing any general trends with our news server, do you have the full 5 connections setup?
And you aren't downloading anything older than 200 days?
Mine's running fine (10Mb).View attachment 74793
But the web based control panel for the router shows it is syncing at 7008kb/s:

Or am I missing something here?
400 - 480k/sec.
Can you connect to guest@telkomadsl / guest
and do a speedtest to capetown.spdtst.saix.net/
and post the results?
Your speeds are lacking, and the above would indicate whether it's your line or possibly AH.
Where do I find that?
Newish stuff, tried it with several items. Using 10 connections. My stuff this morning also went at < 2Mb/s. It's weird, because I'm not doing anything different to yesterday or the day before.
It's faster now though - 175KB/s at 5am, 8am was 220, now it's 260.
