We're seeing high latency spikes on our network at the moment, we're investigating this. Should be resolved ASAP :(
Our network management is kicking in to manage the demand.

Trying to download a new ROM and Google apps for my Galaxy Tab 2:

No other downloads are running in the background either. The only downloads are these two files.

Edited to add: just downloaded both those files using the Mifi and it took less than 10 minutes.

Sigh, yet another day of horrible international speeds. I have been with Afrihost for almost 2 years now, and ever since the move to MTN it's been high gaming latency, massive packet loss and jittery streams. Their prices are amazing, but the quality is not worth it if you enjoy gaming/streaming.

My Telkom capped account has been running without these issues (mostly - sometimes it is also crappy). It really makes me sad that I am at the point of cancelling :( I love the vision and direction you are taking, I also love Gian's hands-on approach; but it's really becoming too painful for me and my family to use.

So sorry for the problems you've been having with latency. In your first traceroute, your exchange is off but your second one if fine. The erratic pings could be the reason for the issues. I'm so sorry. I'd be happy to look into your account if you private message me.

We should see this stabilise in the next few mins. There was latency spikes that seemed to raise it's head this morning again, I'm really sorry guys :(

Latency should be improving, so keep us posted! Here's to hoping I can keep my fingers, typing would be quiet a challenge - and what would I do without my daily MyBB fix? :(

I'm working from home today (CPT) and my speeds are all over the place.
Line is currently maxing out at 2.5mbps (10mbps line). Speeds since this morning have fluctuated between 1.5mbps and 5mbps. Not anywhere close to the norm of 8mbps.
Help please. This is too erratic to be usable.

Speedtests are showing jitter during the test. Tracert's are clean though. Haven't been able to get one showing an issue.
