I see you are in Stellenbosch. Buy yourself a 1GB account and test that first before you commit to more money wasted.

I dont care what anyone says, or does, Afrihost is NOT what it used to be. Whatever IPC capacity they have installed, has certainly made a difference, but its not enough. Either that, or there is another problem on their network.

If I can do s speedtest at 18mbps on a 20mbps line, then why do multi-threaded downloaded cap at 10mbps???

It just doesnt make sense, and either way you look at it, you not getting what you paid for. Im certainly not anyway.

If you don't get good speeds I'll gladly troubleshoot to see where the problems are.
Maybe grab a free 1GB account and test it out :)

See I see your point, hence my current scenario.


I have a 2mb/s line at TygerFalls and it is working splendidly.

I now want to upgrade this line to a 20mb/s option.

Getting 11Mb down on 1x 40Mb line and 12Mb down on another 40Mb line. -_-

Was getting 30 down on the primary line this morning. Now Im getting 8.56 down. Network is reasonable quiet aswell.
But I have not tested any other accounts yet.
