Getting worse, so they need to the opposite of what they are doing.



Getting 3Mbps of my 40Mbps :(

This is a joke 24 hours later and the network is still stuffed. I hope their entire IT department gets the boot!

Also have not had a response regarding my support ticket since this morning.

Strange that your ping is so high, most of us have really low pings but no throughput, my ping is 9ms within Cape Town and 50ms to Johannesburg.
 
Thought I'd do a test on my end too.

I don't have an Afrihost account anymore, but this is the office account on my 40Mbit line:

My WebAfrica capped account was shaped pretty badly tonight (15Mbps).

There is something very very wrong here.

Same thing every friggin month! First IOS updates, wouldn't be surprised if the Shane Warne's of spin blame all of this on "wet coal" this time. This is the last month that I will be putting up with this crap! 10MB line.

Strange indeed.. my ping to the exchange is 6-8ms average. Oh well.. it will rectify itself eventually like it always do
 
I am getting buffering on Netflix tonight. Did speed test and I got just over 1mbps on a 4mbps line. And a ping of over 400 to a cape town server. I am considering dropping my cap to lowest pay for amount probably 4gb and then using web Africa so long. Will keep it like that until afrihost sort their network out.
 
Had a call from Mweb in trying to recruit me stating that " why wait MWEB is busy taking over AH anyway" anybody else had the same call?

Hi guys

We're starting to look better in the North, we're still working hard to see similar improvements in the South though. Our team are working tirelessly to have this sorted out, I know a lot of you aren't seeing the best results :(

More feedback should be available in the morning.

Edit: And that's my account cancelled. Thanks AfriGuy/AfriMan for always being helpful and friendly in PM's but the network is just too unstable. Can't keep going through this same crap every 2 or 3 weeks.
