Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

Streaming movies to Apple TV via AirParrot 2 buffers like a mofo on the OpenWeb free gig account. Switched to Afrihost and all is well.
 
Yeah I have done a comparison just briefly. Afrihost capped account which is MTN backbone on ADSL buffers the whole time on twitch if the setting is on source. It spikes up and down from 500KB/s to 800KB/s with constant buffering and this is on a 14Mbps adsl line.

I then switch to my afrihost mifi on the 20GB +20GB package on MTN LTE and stream the same stream and it does not buffer at all. Monitoring the traffic it's going at a constant rate of 1.3MB/s with no buffering....

I don't understand it. The ADSL part is just not in the same league as MTN LTE. The LTE is like a direct line to the open internet as fast as your tower or device allows and that is what speeds you get. The ADSL part even if you have a fast line it just does not perform the same. One would think that the ADSL would be better but it just isn't.

Latency is better on LTE too for me compared to ADSL.
 
As soon as another ISP launch a download as much as you can campaign like open web and WA did earlier....

Well I have two 40Mbps lines waiting
 
While on YouTube and facebook and a ftp connection.

I'm happy

Either exchange congestion or line fault. You better hope it's the second.

Edit: If exchange congestion, your line should be fine in off peak times, try another tracert in the morning. If same resource it's a line fault, if not your exchange has congestion.
