Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

I checkt my email no email on the 15
but when i ckeckt the clent zoon i get an anser on the 15
but this answer dont solve my problem every night i have problems with ios apps download
when i switch to vpn it is fast

Pranav here from Afrihost Critical Care.

I have spoken to our technical team who look after our network and they have informed me between the mentioned times
there had been a demand for bandwidth on our network.

They will be monitoring the network further and will make the necessary changes if need be.

I'll keep you posted as I have more updates from them.

Today my GTA Online working amazingly and my TeamSpeak with 0% packet loss! Hopefully will stay like this !
 
I have a 2Mbps line and a 50+50 uncapped account. As of last weekend torrents have been performing terribly. I see others have posted similar feedback, whats the latest on this issue?

I dont see why i am paying for a capped account if torrents are going to get shaped.

Because they are running out of network capacity so they need to shape P2P on all accounts to try and maintain realtime services like browsing etc.
 
Serious problem with your ISP and GTA V!! Cannot join online at all, and no-one seems to care on your side? But all good. I am taking my money elsewhere anyways. ALL other ISP's can connect except Afrihost! Pathetic!
 
D3 cant connect again ONLY on afrihost, and LoL just has terrible packet loss again so AGAIN I have to buy web africa cap so I can do anything. Honestly my 3g off my cellphone is a better connection than afrihost lately.

+1 on LoL packetloss this morning when I played.
 
Live Streaming is also up the Pole, stuttering like mad on BBC whilst SKY keeps buffering. Less than 50% of my sync speed is being used. I should able, and normally I do, have at least 2 HD streams but today I can't even get one HD or two SD streams running.
 
Since I left Afrihost (best choice though it did take me a while to pluck the courage) I pop in here from time to time just to see if anything has changed... You know, packet loss, slow speeds, can't stream this and can't connect to that.

Guess some things will never change ;)

Don't know why some people think things will magically change... as if it's just a config issue...
 
Wondering whether I should jump to Crystal Web.
They're offering me a sweet Business capped deal and it's looking might enticing with the 2000+ day retention NNTP server thrown in.
Dunno tho. It's sometimes like the old adage says - Better the devil you know?
Geez... that why I'm still with MTN :whistle:

Yea, I used to be with Afrihost - I am now with Crystalweb and I couldn't be happier.. none of this shaping/running out of capacity/lies etc.
