O wow I've now 100% confirmed it's an Afrihost issue. I stopped the update download @ work, came home and it fails. Switched over to Crystalweb and it works.
This is actually really really scary. Not really sure what to say.
Normal Play Store updates work fine.

I can assure you that we're not "blocking" Android updates in any way. :) Happy to pass your query onto our NOC Team to look into. Please PM me your username.

Please note I did not say you're blocking it, but that it's not working. It worked on two other ISP's. That was the really concerning part, so isolated to you.

You're welcome to pass it on, but not sure how they are going to troubleshoot it. It's not like I can re-run the update.

Oh crickey! That would probably explain it... Apart from that, how was the streaming performance?

Perfect as always. Streamed at 1080p without a buffering issue in sight :)

Any news on potential ADSL line speed upgrades coming on 1 Aug?

With the new Telkom packages taking effect in August, do ADSL users using a different ISP also get the free line speed upgrades?

It's been a while and I'm happy to report that everything is still working perfectly. :)

Oh no! :( I'll look into it now.

It has now been 8 days since I sent you guys my first PM. I sent a follow up PM, as well as 2 more posts in this thread to remind you guys.

I still haven't received any feedback of any kind. This is really poor guys. Can you please have a look and give me feedback?

5 29 ms 26 ms 26 ms 169-1-5-250.ip.afrihost.co.za [169.1.5.250]
6 84 ms 82 ms 84 ms jhb-net1.ip.adsl.co.za [169.1.5.52] <<<<----- ??????????????
7 84 ms 99 ms 105 ms is.ixp.joburg [196.60.8.126]

It happens every single night from around 7 to 10PM. Am I the only one with the struggles? Really battling to get an answer or solution.

We'll need to get confirmation as to how the package changes will affect Wholesale Clients, the moment we do get confirmation we'll definitely let you know.

That hop you point to, that's actually replying from overseas already, so as long as you don't see that sort of latency earlier the connection should be okay.

Are you seeing any services not running as they should on your connection?
