Hi Guysdoes anyone have an update on the cellc outage on Afrihost right now. My gf is down completely in capri western cape. Anyone else up and running i nthe area through Afrihost?

Seems to be a problem everywhere.

Hi, Cell C is attending to a fault that may affect your Fixed Wireless service. Please visit our Network Status page for updates - Afrihost

Been down since 4pm this afternoon., other than the message on afrihosts's network page 5 hours ago, no further updates from either Cell C or afrihost.. LTE customers are been taken for fools by these ISP's

Apparently a country wide, outage but status reports or progress reports are not forth coming. What's the heck is the issue

Going to get a Telkom Pre-Paid SIM, what am I going to need to change on B618 router for it to work in mean time.

Once again ONLY AFRIHOST clients. My friend has the same package but through Axxess and his internet is fine. Honestly, Afrihost is a bloody joke. Contacted them and they said after 5 March I can cancel the subscription without having to pay the R999 penalty. Only 4 more days people, then I am rid of this joke of an ISP that is Afrihost.

IMO i think its "issues" between the ISP (Afrihost in this case) and the upstream provider (IS) or the infrastructure provider (CELLC) or both. When I swap out my Webafrica-CELLC sim then it works. So its not a tower/infrastructure problem.

Also have the same package but through Axxess, haven’t experienced any outages. So far so good.

Cell C Fixed Wireless is down in Sea Point. My modem has a blue light but my devices cannot connect. It seems to be an Afrihost issue. Come on guys. You seriously need to up your game. People are leaving your business and you honestly don't seem to care. For one of me (and now I read a few others), there are tens perhaps hundreds more. Your company's apathy astounds me.

AFrihost site is not showing a current outage on Cell C anywhere ... where is the transparency tech guys? You should be updating your website! Its 12:10 pm and complaints as early as 08:00 am this morning. I'm sure you are trying to fix the problem but then you need to be honest and state the current situation on your website. ALSO ... WHERE ON EARTH IS THE EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER FOR WEEKENDS??? YOU ONLY HAVE A NUMBER FOR WEEKDAYS IN OFFICE HOURS AND YOUR WHATSAPP AND CHAT IS OFFLINE OR HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED OR TOO BUSY WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS. I would not have complained about this IF the network status had shown a Cell C outage for today (not yesterday). Today is 02 March. UDPATE PLEASE!!!!

Edit: complaints since yesterday ... no indication of a problem on your network status page though? Poor customer service in terms of feedback. Very poor.

same here, been waiting patienty for the 6 months to pass so I can get rid of this rubbish.

Mine is with Afrihost and has just come back online... Interesting though, my IP address is now "156.155.70.233 Axxess Networks" - looks like Afrihost moved their Cell C clients over to Axxess' network...
