Afrihost / Telkom Fixed LTE Stopped Working

I'm using **Telkom Fixed LTE through Afrihost**, and up until recently the service had been working perfectly for about **1–2 years**. My router is a **Huawei B315s-936**.

At the beginning of June, Afrihost sent an email saying that Telkom required customers to reboot their routers on **10 June**. I did the reboot as instructed, and everything continued working normally.

On **15 June 2026**, the connection suddenly became unusable.

The router connects to the LTE network without any issues and shows a normal LTE connection, but all internet traffic is effectively throttled to around **0.01 Mbps**, making the service unusable.

I've been in contact with Afrihost support since **15 June**. Each time I'm told that the issue has been escalated to the LTE department, but several days later nothing has changed.

To rule out the router, I also tested the SIM card in a mobile phone and experienced exactly the same problem, so it doesn't appear to be a router issue.

Maybe Telkom blocked the sim?

Has anyone else using **Afrihost/Telkom Fixed LTE** experienced something similar recently?
