afrihost fails HARD!!!!!!!!!

Pro-rata dude

it's the 26th already so you aint gonna get your full 1 gig

and if you look at your invoice you will see that they did not charge you the full R29 for 1 gig

that's bad, very bad.

Not so bad just make sure you use everything up by the 31st of the month and don't topup on the 30th unless you have a 4mb line and lots of things to download

I think they charged you R4.83
It sucks but at least you're not losing your money.

yea dude...lol...I just completely misunderstood how it worked...its late and it's been a long day and I am currently so hot I cant sleep :P

Nothing wrong, AfriHost! Still enjoying my connection! I could be a bit quicker, but that's ok.

Speaking of Afrihost, are Moshe and Gian still active on the forum?

I haven't seen either of them for a while

it is not so bad when you make a mistake and say i'm sorry i was at err. it is even worse when you just delete you post and change it with "Nevermind...pls delete". :erm:

klasvaakie fails HARD!!!!! :p

On a more serious note though. Kaufies, I don't think Gian is active here but if you pm Moshe then you will get a reply quickly. I find it easier to deal with Moshe than their actual support department.

ai Klasvaakie, seems you need some of your own sleepy dust :D

If you look at the competition, say WebAfrica or even AXXESS, their pre-paid bundles rollover for years. I understand with WebAfrica, they don't expire at all.

Further, legislation coming in next year will force them to make it last at least 2 yrs AFAIK.

now is not a good time to make thoughtless comments regarding Afrihost, they are the hero(es) of all broadband users - bandwidth that actually delivers, cheaper than anyone else and a good level of support - what else could you ask for?

...an unlimited account maybe?

Afrihost's prepaid bundles are valid for a year. I think it might be the top-up bundles that expire at the end of the month.

It is a pity that people do not know what they are talking about and trash a new ISP who really are upping their own game as well as giving well established ISP a good go for their money.

I have to say that I have found their support - both telephonic and via email - excellent. I think they have a great range of products and I am paying 50% less than I was 2 months ago. If I do end up topping up and not using all I bought, it actually does not really make me lose sleep like it used to in the past. :)

Keep up the good work Afrihost

They're not my heroes and my comment is not thoughtless - problems with billing have persisted since 3 November. Won't go into detail about the inane mails I have got in response to my queries - I'll just see red again
