I had Fibre installed by Vumatel last week.
I expected the normal smooth experience from Afrihost to connect to this line.
Far from it. I still don't have working connection and they have taken payment already.
I have created tickets to get this resolved but they have now all been deleted.

has anyone had the same experience from Afrihost?

Hi. My finding sometimes that you need to phone through to Afrihost and say you want to activate the package and generally you give them the object number and then they tell you to wait an hour and reboot CPE and Router.

I did this twice...they said all good...but it still doesnt work.
It just pops up the activate fibre screen and asks me to enter my clientzone credentials...then it says success.
but still nothing outside of clientzone.afrihost.com works

Yeah. Well might be a good time to cancel afrihost then and switch to another provider. I can recommend Cool Ideas.

Sounds like we just need to get your package activated. If you've already done the activation on your side, then we'll need to check all the boxes on our side.

Please PM me so I can check it out :(

You generally shouldn't need to, it should be a seamless process. Sounds like something might have gone wrong, but when I did my fibre through Afrihost/Vuma, I just had to do the activation in ClientZone and it all worked :(

I'm on with the Twitter guy...hopefully something will come out from that.
Nobody can tell me why my support tickets got deleted though...I never cursed or anything like that

Sometimes if the tickets get moved into a private queue (like escalations or only visible to certain teams) it is not visible in ClientZone. We definitely don't delete tickets.

Ok, The Twitter account escalated my problem and the amazing Boitumelo sorted this out finally.
Never had any issues with Afrihost in many years before in their defense. In my defense tickets did disappear however they seem to have been working on it on the background regardless.
