So I FINALLY managed to get through to a manager after 4 Calls... Turns out My SIM is Buggered because Cell C sent out a bad batch of SIM cards to AH (Afrihost has been aware of this since Friday).
They will now send me a new SIM on Monday, and also give me the data for the week that I was without internet.
SO, If you are on Cell C Fixed Wireless, and getting constant disconnections..... Its very likely that you also have a faulty SIM and need to get in contact with Afrihost to replace it.
Hopefully this helps someone...
Answer us this... where's Gian?I'm really sorry about that, this is something that we are working on with our Team to make sure that everyone that is affected by one of these faulty sim cards receive replacements.
I should point out, there was also an intermittent issue affecting some of our Cell C Fixed Wireless Clients that was causing their connectivity sessions to drop every hour. This has been resolved, and should no longer be affecting any of our Clients.
Someone else mentioned ICASA so I jumped on the bandwagon; but if ISPA is the correct authority then I will report it to them.
It is not about a refund - it is about a lack of service and integrity and to make sure that no one else receives the poor service that I have, to make people aware of how Afrihost likes to take your money every month but can't deal with a simple support query or give you answers on a service you're paying for.
We as South Africans have kept quiet far too long about poor service delivery and companies who take our very hard earned money for granted; without us fools, they would not exist.

Who is your boss now?
Why is your company circling the drain?

Funny that you can 'point this out' but your support staff was/is not aware of this.I'm really sorry about that, this is something that we are working on with our Team to make sure that everyone that is affected by one of these faulty sim cards receive replacements.

Look I never disputed that there was problems. But out of all the calls I made, logged and chatted None of them informed me about the Faulty SIMs or the dropping network, Instead they kept on insisting that its my coverage or me doing it wrong (and they did it in an arrogant manner too).
I found out about the network drops on the AH website and had to Pay an IT company to test and tell me my SIM is the problem
Im sure you have a hard enough time having to apologies for other people's weakness, so lets just leave the 'sorries' and rather take all of these complaints that you are responding to and get the right person in AH to actually start addressing some of the obvious service level issue thats being experienced.
Hey. How’s the new SIM they sent you working? Any problems? I think I need to get a new one as wellSo I FINALLY managed to get through to a manager after 4 Calls... Turns out My SIM is Buggered because Cell C sent out a bad batch of SIM cards to AH (Afrihost has been aware of this since Friday).
