well you already have uncapped - I think that works out cheaper if you download more than 35GB's a month or something (which i guess you probably do)

So the rule of thumb seems to be: "Yes, they are cheaper, but if you download insane amounts uncapped is still the best option."

they apparantly shape their ports, so not sure what that means for torrents/p2p.

I would like to know what sort of reputation Afrihost has in the IT business community.
After looking at their website my gut is telling me not open an account with these guys -red,red,and more red.
Their pricing is great but when you see banners like below,i get put off totally.

They have been in the hosting business in SA for more than ten years, in fact they were on of the first revolutionary hosting companies in SA. They have always had a good online presence. I have used them for hosting before.

Now I am using them as my ISP... along with 250 other people since yesterday...
