On Tuesday I upgraded my line with Afrihost and it's now Friday and my line has not been upgraded. Sent a support ticket this morning at 10am to enquire as to why nothing has been done and have got no reply.

Staff being abducted by aliens or just taking liberties with Friday siestas or something?

Same happened here. Eventually sent a second message on the support ticket and received a reply. Line was upgraded a day later.

That is strange whenever I have requested a line upgrade it has taken no more than 10 minutes from pressing accept in ClientZone to the line resyncing. Maybe Openserve's API backend is down.

Got a reply over the weekend littered with spelling errors and terrible grammar blaming Telkom. They do also seem a little confused as to what exactly is going on.

First they claimed the line had been successfully 'regraded' to a 10mb line but was syncing at 6mb but when I enquired as to why I was still only getting 4mb they came back to me stating my line hadn't in fact been successfully 'regraded' to 10mb.

Sorry that we're only jumping on this thread now :( We usually monitor our official feedback thread and PMs pretty closely, if you need a quick reply :)
Regrades are usually done pretty quickly, but delays can happen from time to time, sorry if this wasn't well communicated from our end.

Drop me a PM with your line number and I'll see what's going on.

It's now been ten days

Sorry about this :(
Looks like we're still waiting for feedback from Telkom though, this was re-escalated with them as early as yesterday. As promised, I'll PM you with any feedback once it's available.

Due to deteriorating infrastructure, I downgraded my line yesterday. Was done about 5 minutes after clicking through the customer panel. 10/10 for AH, 0/10 plus a PK for Telkom.

Not sure if I should be grateful for our system downgrading your line so quickly... :(

and yet still I wait....

Looks like the upgrade failed due to the distance to your exchange :(

Really? I've had a 10mb line before but now suddenly there is a distance issue. How does that work?

Could be ASSIA deeming the stats unstable - unfortunately this is the feedback we've received from Telkom.

Not exactly what I had been told by your support

The sync stats are good and you line looks very healthy to be able to sync on 10 meg.

Happy to investigate what's happened - I'm simply seeing what was logged on the reference :)
Drop me a PM and we can chat about this in more detail.

What I an say, is that regardless of the current sync stats - if Telkom deem the line will be unstable at a higher sync, that'll dictate whether the order goes through or not.
