@Afriman, seems the LTE sim I was given is faulty. Tried it in my MiFi device and it didn't work. The MiFi sim worked in the Zest phone.

How do I get a new sim?

Thanks for testing further for me. Seems like the issue is with the SIM. Let's see what MTN have to say about the SIM either being faulty or blocked. Either way, we'll get that sorted and at least you know your phone works :)

Getting a LTE B593 device to test, will my afrihost sim work? Do I need to get one specifically to access LTE speeds?

Most of our SIMS are LTE capable, but you need to have LTE activated first. If you have the LTE logo on the SIM, then it is capable. Drop me a PM and I'll activate for you (can take up to 72 hours, but usually much faster) :)
 
This auth issue is working on my tits ( the bad way)

Had some work to do last night had to do it this morning. If it happens again tonight ill be peed off.

definitely understandable. I think we're also frustrated cos we're not loving putting clients through this. If there was an easy answer, it would be a no-brainer :(

Any reason why it is happening after hours ? high load?

I understand 1 night but 3 in a row or is it 4? sigh
 
Hi Afriman, Im told ive hit my cap but I have more than enough data according to clientzone. I had the same issue a while ago and the support guy had me reset all the settings on my device, will this work?

Hi Afriman, Im told ive hit my cap but I have more than enough data according to clientzone. I had the same issue a while ago and the support guy had me reset all the settings on my device, will this work?

Happens to me almost monthly.

On a side note. I generally have poor signal in my area. Get one bar 3G. So all I did was remove the back cover and the signal jumped to full strength? Was it just coincidence?

This was due to a problematic hardware link, this should be sorted out now though.
Really sorry about the downtime, I know it hasn't been cool :(

Can I get Afrihost mobile data on a pre-paid MTN sim card too or just on a contract MTN sim card?

Zertop has covered this already, just want to follow up.
The APN data is only available for MTN contract subscribers :)

It could have been, depends on the device and what kind of cover. Some phones do have weird dead spots, the cover may have been blocking something.
 
Is it still not possible to have two sims and one account?

Really don't want the schlep of two accounts.
 
Hi AfriGuy,

I am on the mobile 2 package - 2GB plus 3GB free - i take it from 1st July this is changing to 2GB free?

This is a bit low for me and would like to know if i can upgrade my account to mobile 3 package before the end of this month?

From a perspective of the upgrade being possible (not cancelling) and the free data still being included till December...
