I don't understand why I don't have that option, seeing I have been an Afrihost Mobile customer from the onset, got the free MiFi even :(

Strange I just recently subscribed to the mobile 10GB + 10GB package as a backup when the power goes out and for my gaming. I find MTN LTE to be so much better than any ISP on my ADSL line so I use it for that mostly.

I also use it to stream like twitch tv and stuff like that as it actually streams @ 2MB/s [18Mbps] without any kind of buffering which is really cool.

I just went and looked and saw the Mobile Fifteen and Mobile Twenty options there when I upgraded. I upgraded to the Mobile Twenty for R987 and got charged R172 pro rata and was allocated 5 or so Gigs pro rata. So I will get 40GB data next month. Pretty cool. Makes it cheaper than Telkom's 60GB + 60GB option with the added advantage of only having anytime data and not nightsurfer data like Telkom

What are they smoking in Afrihost Towers?

Just looked at the 2GB offering at R145 which MWeb offer at R89 plus a free 21Mbps modem...

The your Mobile 5 with 5GB (R297) is whacked into touch by MWeb again at just R259...

I'm guessing around March 2015 we'll see posts saying "remember when Afrihost did mobile data?"

I can't really comment on the competitions products, not sure if it's a contract?
In any case, our Mobile packages are still great value for money with lots of really great benefits.
 
From the latest email it looks like the double data thing will be discontinued :cry: Time to start shopping around.
 
When does the double data end for mobile customers that do not want the plus option??

The decision as to whether or not Double Data for Mobile Data has not yet been made, as things stand now, the Double Data will continue until the end of December.

Haven't had a stable/usable connection since Thursday.

I've already dropped one Afrihost Mobile Account and got double what I was getting from Afrihost for less!

Now the only choice is to go pre-pay 12 months up front from Cell C or go Axxess route with the rollover data?

In any case, our Mobile packages are still great value for money with lots of really great benefits.

They are no longer good value and the benefits of being capped when you have data is the only advantage I've found!!
 
From what it seems like I would have to pay 3 x r99 for the afrihost plus to keep my 3 mobile packages with the same amount of data.... that's R300.00 extra.

Can someone confirm this ?
