Afrihost Mobile Feedback Thread

Mobile authentications are still down.
I'll have updates posted here as soon as they're available.
Being both an AH ADSL and mobile user there's only one thing to say. The move to MTN has proven an unmitigated disaster. Thank goodness AH has looked to others to build and provision AfriGreen. But that still leaves Mobile :'(
 
Does this mean MTN has already pulled out of SA?? Lol
The next time this happens I will port to vodacom, afrihost mobile is the only reason to be with the network with the worst ever customer service. MTN for the lose!
 
Glad I checked here, couldn't work out why i couldn't connect on afrihost APN. Let us know when it's back up.

MTN's attitude these past few weeks...I don't want to support them at all. I'd love it if AH had their own network.
 
It's an Afrihost issue. The customer doesn't care (or need to) about the underlying problem.
1.) AH was answering a direct question.
2.) A lot of people on this forum do have in interest in what the root causes are & the technical details.

2. As do I (on behalf of family who ask me why their "Afrihost" mobile connection isn't working)

Last few weeks?? Since their staff went on strike its never been the same. Try get hold of an operator.... No success in 3 weeks!
 
The apn started working again a while ago.... So you guys can try again but its working again and full speed too....

I'm sure it sucks debugging issues like this on a Sunday - thanks for sorting it out
