My connection just crapped out again. Now I'm really getting irritated, feel like punching something. Come on Afrihost three days fix your ****.


You know what's really irritating is under network status every thing is green, like its all working as its supposed to be. You would think they would send emails to warn a person so that you can at least make other arrangements but no everything is running fine. I was told that repeatedly this morning everything fine our side try another device or different location. Even after I told them the same device with the internet apn was working perfectly.

Is it just me or is the Afrihost APN stuffed today since about 10h15? Struggling in Cpt so switched to MTN APN which is working perfectly.. #weird
 
Hi Guys!

It looks like there are some issues affecting our Mobile Data packages at the moment, the Team is busy investigating, find the actual cause is proving difficult. Can I ask that you guys post traceroutes to afrihost.com if you see your speeds drop out and the latencies increase, it will really help us out a lot.

I just swapped back to Afrihost SIM from MTN to do a traceroute, cannot connect at all.
 
Even when it worked for short stints in the last couple of days there would still be massive latency spikes.
 
This is really tiresome. Intermittent connection with very limited throughput - unusable. Western Cape, Somerset West.

How can you be expected to be taken seriously in the marketplace with this level of unexplained downtime. This is not a beta test product, C'mon guys - get your **** together.
 
:( We're busy investigating, are you able to run a traceroute to afrihost.com at all?
How long do Afrihost investigations normally take, a week in and still investigating?

Posting a letter within the Cape province will get your message to the recipient faster than an email sent on the Afrihost mobile network :( :(

You guys have to fix these high ping times please.

Performance is also better for me now, but a still see high numbers (±1700ms) when doing a traceroute.

Thanks for the update, we are making good progress, things should be back to normal soon.

In Paarl. this is not funny anymore afrihost. You quick to take money but it seem that it is where it stops.
try updating software.. had to cancel it is downloading at 78 bytes/second. yes bytes per second. it is going to take ages to update software. cancelled update.

How can you guys after almost 4 days still not knowing what is going on.

Going back to work you really messed up a week's leave for me and will then check alternatives because frankly I am sure there is something beter then what afrihost is giving.

.. and then your support team tell me on the phone everything is 100% fine. NO IT'S NOT FINE
